Grossmont College Fall Reading Series offers mix of veteran, emerging authors

The Grossmont College community will be treated to a variety of literary events during the college’s Fall 2013 Reading Series to be held on campus throughout the semester. The Reading Series, sponsored by the Creative Writing Program, will feature award-winning authors as well as showcase talent from the campus and the community.

All events begin at 7 p.m. and with the exception of the Oct. 22 reading in Room 220, Building 26, they will be in Griffin Gate inside the student center.

Wednesday, Sept. 25: Flash Fiction Mob featuring author and San Diego Mesa College Professor Bonnie ZoBell and the winners of the Creative Writing Program's Flash Fiction Contest

Thursday, Sept. 26: Celebration of Banned Books Reading

Tuesday, Oct. 22: Lester Bangs Memorial Reading featuring the World Premiere of the documentary, A Box Full of Rocks: The El Cajon Years of Lester Bangs, Room 220

Thursday, Nov. 14: An Evening With Poet Joseph Voth, author of the critically acclaimed collection of poetry Living With Noise

Monday, Dec. 2: New Voices Student Reading featuring the original work of Grossmont College creative writing students
