Contractor Outreach
The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District (GCCCD) is committed to the opportunity for inclusion of local contractors and suppliers on Proposition V projects as an investment in the local economy. The District is also committed to the opportunity for inclusion of small and historically underutilized businesses on the program. The GCCCD Small Business Outreach Program is in place to identify and engage these businesses, and assist them in identifying and bidding on District projects. Targeted businesses are identified in one or more of the following categories:
-
Small or Underutilized Businesses: Includes businesses certified as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) and/or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE)
-
East County Businesses: Includes businesses located within the GCCCD District boundaries
-
Local Businesses: Includes businesses beyond the District boundaries but located within San Diego County
Eligible businesses are included in the GCCCD Database of Small and Local Businesses
and are provided advance notification of bid opportunities in the District. These
businesses will also be provided information about small business workshops, certifications
and certifying agencies, prevailing wage policies, and other resources designed to
build success for the small business entrepreneur.
To be included in the Database of Small and Local Businesses, fill out the Bidder Information Form and email to Jenna Riley, GCCCD Communications Coordinator or call (619) 644-7480.
