Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District (GCCCD) is committed to safeguarding the health and well-being of its students, staff, and
faculty through a comprehensive and well-structured emergency notification system
and evacuation procedures.
The emergency notification system is designed to quickly deliver timely and accurate information during any crisis,
including natural disasters, campus threats, or medical emergencies. Whether through
text alerts, emails, or telephone, these updates provide clear instructions to ensure
everyone on campus responds appropriately and stays safe.
Equally important are the evacuation procedures, which ensure the safe and orderly exit from campus buildings during emergencies.
The district has also equipped buildings with essential evacuation tools, including
accessible routes and chairs for those with mobility challenges, ensuring safety for
all.
