GCCCD CTE Programs
Career Technical Education (CTE) provides students of all ages with the academic and technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in future careers and to become lifelong learners. Students may earn a short term certificate or Associates Degree in many academic areas.
Career & Technical Education (CTE) at Grossmont and Cuyamaca Colleges offer certificate programs and Associate Degrees with an occupational emphasis. These CTE programs offer the education and training necessary to lead individuals directly to employment, update the knowledge and skills of current workers, and/or lead to further academic growth at 4-year universities. Note: Associate Degree programs require completion of at least 60 units of credit, which normally will take 4 semesters. Certificate programs, many of which lead to an Associate Degree, vary in the number of units required. Most can be completed in 2 - 4 semesters.
